Marfan Association
Marfan syndrome is a disease with a prevalence of 1:5000. It is easy to calculate that there are approximately 8,000 people living with Marfan syndrome in Poland, plus two to three times as many patients with other Marfan-like connective tissue diseases. According to official data, only about 30% of patients are aware of their condition.
Therefore, the mission of the Marfan Association is to help patients in their difficult struggle with this rare disease and to spread knowledge about Marfan syndrome among doctors and patients who are affected but do not know it.

Baby girl born with rare genetic disorder
Emilia was born in 2015 with a genetic disorder affecting chromosome 18. She is fed via PEG (i.e., she is fed through a stomach tube). To help her development, she needs intensive and long-term treatment and the help of several specialists, including a physiotherapist, speech therapist, and psychologist.
